Non Career Spouses That Are Stay At Home Maybe They Have It Figured Out

As I work in a grocery store I see all walks of life walk through. With all that come through though I see the most happy and well centered ladies the ones that are married and their husbands go out and work, they stay home, maintain the home, do the cooking and care for the kids.
They may not have the BMWs out in the lot. Just a sedan or mini van. Not in designer clothes but dressed nice. This may be the best balance for a family person. They are not maximizing their income as one spouse stays at home (mostly). They do not seem to be in a rat race to get things done as they have allotted enough tome to get the present task done. They are generally pleasant. Nice people.
When we push ourselves too much we get stressed. Then angry. Take it out on all around. Have a bad day. If you can live without the newest and the best you can have a happier lifestyle. Instead of the kids having to be shipped to daycare they have mom at home to take care of them. If they are in school she can help with the homework. Do they even still have homework? I don't know!
Many years ago I figured that a second income must gross at least thirty thousand dollars a year to become a benefit if you have kids. With clothes, transportation, child care, lunches, insurance, cell phone and everything else. You go figure.
