Focus

The American Herittage dictionary defines focus as "a center of inerest or activity". Also " to consentrate on". A lot of time I feel that I loose my focus. I am not sure if could be atributed to a wandering mind or simply seeking the path of the least resistence. Our mind wanders because of external and internal distractions. You are consentrating on a task at hand and the phone rings. Something else comes to mind. You remember something you wanted or needed to do. I know that I run around my little apartment like a fly buzzing around the room. Do this, do that. I think of something while I am in the middle of something else. In the long run I tend to get everything done if I have a list to follow. It also tantamont to arobic exersise running from place to place. But can be rather agravating to people who can just sit until they make a move out of necessity or design. As long as I check off the items on my list and get it do that's fine. The other aspect is the path of least resistence. You have a paramont task or issue to deal with and you sidetrack yourself with petty things that do not take care of the big things. Persuing the path of least resistence or skirting the issue comes from two matters. You either do not feel like stepping up to the pump and getting it done. Or you can not make it happen no matter what you do. You can wish in one hand and sh-- it the other and it is just not going to happen. At least at this point in time. The best option is to lay the groundwork to build a means to an end. Do what you can to build a foundation to accomplish what is needed to be done. P.S. I would like to thank Youtube for providing the music for this writing. I would also like to thank the University of Evansville and WUOE for turning me on to this album in 1978 as they played a lot of stuff you do not hear on commercial radio.
